Attempt Number Two
So I had just finished a somewhat entertaining blog and when I tried to post it, I got an error message and my words have been lost forever. I hate trying to recapture the magic of lost words, but I will try to come up with something almost as good.
I stayed home "sick" from work today. I had woken up too late and didn't feel like rushing around to get ready and I did have a slight pain in my throat that could qualify as a sore throat, so I called in, because what if it was a potentially fatal virus? I couldn't expose my co-workers to that could I? So really, I was doing everyone a favor, and I think I was rewarded for my good deed by miraculously feeling better! Yay! We're all winners today!
My day was not lacking any excitement of course. It began by watching 3 hours of Playhouse Disney featuring shows like Higglytown Heroes, The Doodlebops, and JoJo's Circus. Television doesn't get any better than that! I got to follow it up by playing games on PlayhouseDisney.com where I solved difficult counting puzzles to reveal pictures of Donald Duck and Goofy. But I must say the highlight of my day was when I received a cellphone call from Cinderella. She's so nice on the phone, I wonder what she's like in person. Now before you get worried, I wasn't enjoying all of these thrilling events alone. I was joined or prodded, whichever you prefer, along by my wonderful nieces Emmalani, 3, and Koloe, 1.
Those two can pretty much talk me into doing anything. I can't resist their sweet faces and risk hurting their little feelings or worse, making them cry! So that is how I usually end up on the floor of their room playing a Winnie the Pooh memory game or having my hair styled by Madame Emmalani. But I'm not complaining. I love spending time with those two little dears. And I know that I must enjoy it all while I can before I'm off in Wales, playing frisbee on the beach with Colin Firth. (I'm going to be living just up the street from the ocean - fabulous!) I'm lucky to be the aunt of the two cutest kids in the world. And I'm not just saying they are the cutest because I'm their aunt, it really is true.
I think I'll end there. This post will be short and sweet. Just like my nieces.
